Money Matters: Pray

It’s practically impossible for us to go through a day as an adult without thinking about money. We can get it, save it, and spend it. Our society and economy depend on it. We cannot live without it. But, if we’re not careful, we can become dependent on it. Instead of owning it, it can own us. The Bible speaks to this very issue. This series will reveal what God’s Word has to say about money matters.
Pray
Many people think of life as a sort of filing cabinet. There are all kinds of separate files that go into the cabinet. But God doesn’t consider life to be a collection of separate subjects. There is no separation between what is mine and what is His. There is no separation between what is secular and what is sacred. How we handle money matters to Him. The first lesson in managing money is to pray, yet often we only pray about our finances when we’re in trouble.
