Rev. Milton Friesen
Milton Friesen began as Lead Pastor on September 1, 2022. He is married to Michelle and they have four adult children and two in-laws. Leadership roles have included church planter, lead pastor, and DEXCOM member in the Western Canadian District as well as the Communications Manager for Billy Graham Canada. Most recently he served as the Managing Director of the for-profit firm, CitiIQ (citiiq.com). Community work has included a three-year term as an elected municipal councillor and his scholarly activity has included a range of academic and public policy publishing with a particular focus on advanced graduate studies at the University of Waterloo School of Planning. While there, he developed new ways to measure the social fabric of neighbourhoods. He has served on the steering committee of the Thriving Cities Project at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture (University of Virginia) and served for three years as a member of the Program Committee for the Computational Social Sciences Society of the Americas, where computer modeling is used to explore and help us understand the origins and development of inequality.
